Overview

In this role you will help transform Munich Re’s Claims data and reporting landscape. You’ll work within the global Claims community to deliver data-driven insights, dashboards, and AI-enabled workflows that support decision-making and portfolio analytics. You will partner with claims managers to identify leakage, improve data quality, and drive digital claims solutions aligned with Ambition 2030. This position offers exposure to cross-functional teams and a chance to shape innovative tools for a complex, client-focused business.

Responsibilities
  • Collect, map and validate data across clients; enable accessible data for internal partners
  • Define data lineage, controls, reconciliation, and auditability
  • Create reports and KPI dashboards; identify leakage and triage insights
  • Act as product owner for claims management tools; translate requirements into digital workflows
  • Specify data needs, routing, rules, and approvals; define SLAs and workflow transitions
  • Design exceptions, handoffs, and maintainable separation of workflow logic from UI
  • Roadmap data and workflow projects; prioritise backlogs and coordinate delivery
  • Apply statistics to detect trends; propose data-driven process improvements
  • Write testable acceptance criteria for UAT and production readiness
  • Identify practical AI/GenAI use cases to improve efficiency without compromising judgement
  • Assist with loss runs and audits; participate in special projects and ad hoc reporting
Key requirements
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI, Azure DevOps, VBA, DAX and SQL/R
  • Python is a plus
  • Dashboards/KPIs development; track SLAs/operational metrics
  • Data import/transform; strong data modelling, quality, and reconciliation
  • Primary insurance claims knowledge; end-to-end portfolio analytics
  • Product ownership with track record of delivering solutions; mapping workflows
  • Translate requirements into states, rules, routing, validations and approvals
  • Strong process, workflow and data structure understanding; design of exceptions and escalations
  • Basic AI/GenAI literacy for workflow efficiency
  • Strong analytics; meticulous with data and detail
  • Project management and clear communication; self-starter and delivery-focused
