Overview

You will translate complex portfolio and performance data into clear, actionable insights to optimise underwriting portfolios and evaluate Portfolio Solutions opportunities. In this role you’ll support informed decision making across the business and work with cross-functional teams, including Pricing, Finance and regulatory bodies. You’ll transform advanced analytics and AI-enabled insights into concrete recommendations, strengthening governance and senior visibility. This position sits in the Portfolio Solutions & Strategic Portfolio Management function, contributing to CNA Hardy’s mission to protect businesses with expert, responsible underwriting.

Responsibilities
  • Drive portfolio performance across underwriting portfolios and monitor progress against plan
  • Turn analytics and data into actionable recommendations for underwriting and portfolio decisions
  • Develop management information, metrics, and executive materials to improve governance and decision making
  • Evaluate new opportunities and in-force transactions within Portfolio Solutions and assess strategic value
  • Build robust data, workflows, and analytical consistency with stakeholders and support regulatory interactions with Lloyd’s of London
Key requirements
  • Insurance portfolio expertise with knowledge of general insurance portfolio performance, underwriting lifecycles, governance and business planning
  • Typically at least 10 years’ experience in insurance, including cross-functional partnering
  • Advanced analytical capability with large data sets and multiple systems, plus proficiency in reporting tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to communicate complex insights to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Commercial, professional judgment with ability to manage priorities and deliver accurate outcomes within regulatory requirements
