POS/IT Tech Support Specialist

Salary: $45,000 - 60,000 per year

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and PC troubleshooting
• Basic understanding of computer networking, including TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi, and routers
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical support requests
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation for customer visits
• POS experience, preferably in restaurant or retail settings, is an advantage but is not required
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, including database backup and restoration, is preferred
• Experience supporting credit card terminals and payment processing equipment is preferred
• Knowledge of receipt printers, barcode scanners, and cash drawers is preferred
• Experience with remote desktop and technical support tools is preferred
• Basic knowledge of software installation, database connectivity, and system configuration is preferred

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot POS software and hardware
• Support merchant customers by phone, through remote access, and during on-site visits
• Install and maintain Windows-based POS systems for restaurants, retail stores, and dry cleaners
• Troubleshoot Windows computers, networks, software, and peripheral devices
• Install and support credit card terminals, receipt printers, cash drawers, barcode scanners, and other POS equipment
• Perform software installations and updates, database backups, and system maintenance
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems
• Assist with new merchant installations, equipment setup, and customer training
• Keep accurate records of technical issues, service activities, and resolutions
