Power BI Analyst

In this role you will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to turn data into actionable insights for multiple departments. You will work within the IT team of Birketts to ensure data quality, performance and clear reporting. You will transform data from diverse sources into user-friendly visuals that support decision-making across the firm. The role blends hands-on dashboard development with data interpretation, within a hybrid working environment. • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.
• Regularly update dashboards based on team feedback and ensure data quality.
• Analyse data to uncover trends and provide actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues to integrate data sources and optimize performance.
• Ensure dashboards perform efficiently and resolve performance issues promptly.
• Adhere to guidelines for consistent, clear reporting.

• At least 3 years of Power BI development experience.
• Proficiency in creating/managing dashboards with DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
• Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
• Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with querying databases.
• Strong attention to detail and collaboration with team members.
• Experience with advanced Power BI features is desirable, such as custom visuals and row-level security.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or similar data platform technologies.
• Knowledge of data preparation and ETL processes.
• Relevant certifications in Power BI or data analysis tools are desirable.
