Power BI Developer

As a Power BI Developer, you will design, build, and maintain BI solutions using Power BI to deliver actionable insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align BI with business goals and ensure robust deployment pipelines and data warehousing approaches. You’ll transform raw data into clear reports and dashboards, optimize performance, and support data governance and security. This role supports the DS&T team within PD&MS as part of the energy transition journey.

• Define and refine BI strategy with stakeholders, establish KPIs, and identify BI improvement opportunities
• Design scalable data models and integrate data from multiple sources with data engineers, ensuring performance and data quality
• Develop Power BI reports and dashboards, implement DAX calculations, and manage deployment pipelines and automated data refresh
• Contribute to data warehouses and data Lakes (Azure Data Lake Storage), understand ETL processes, and apply data governance practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in training, and uphold safety, quality, and QHSE principles

• Demonstrable experience with the Microsoft BI stack (Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS)
• Experience with data preparation, warehousing and BI projects
• Knowledge of other BI tools (Tableau or SAP, preferred)
• Experience creating requirement documents, user stories and process flows (preferred)
• Knowledge of scripting languages and SQL Server
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Bachelor degree in a relevant subject (not explicitly required in text)
• Masters degree in a relevant discipline (preferred)
