Power BI Developer / Report Writer

Our client is a major institutional Asset Manager, and they are undergoing a project to improve and automate reporting. As a result, they are looking for a Power BI Developer / Report Writer for an initial term of 3 months , with potential for extension as they work through the project and ongoing reporting requirements.

This is an in-office role 4 days per week

As the Power BI Developer / Report Writer , you will be responsible for developing, enhancing and automating management and investment reporting using Power BI and Microsoft Copilot . You will work with data from multiple sources, including financial and operational systems, to extract, validate, reconcile and transform data into accurate, visually effective reports and dashboards. Your experience developing dashboards, creating DAX measures, designing and maintaining semantic models, and coding in Python will ensure success.

You will also be responsible for leveraging Microsoft Copilot and other AI capabilities to improve the efficiency of report creation, analysis and ongoing reporting processes. This will include working with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, translating business needs into Power BI reports and dashboards, testing outputs for accuracy, and identifying opportunities to automate manual reporting processes.

• Strong Power BI skills, including report and dashboard development includingexperience developing dashboards, creating DAX measures, designing and maintaining semantic models, and coding in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot , particularly for reporting, data analysis and/or content generation
• Strong understanding of data extraction, transformation, validation and reconciliation
• Experience working with multiple data sources and integrating data into Power BI
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders
