Overview

In this role you help shape investment spend insights and portfolio performance by delivering scalable Power BI reporting and trusted data foundations. You will work within the Group Investment Management Tooling and Data team to turn ambiguous needs into actionable dashboards and maintainable data models, enabling informed decisions. You contribute to design standards, testing, and agile delivery while guiding the team on data architecture and governance. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on impact, collaboration, and driving AI-ready data capabilities across reporting products.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and semantic models with production support
  • Translate ambiguous needs into requirements and reporting prototypes for improved user adoption
  • Develop and optimise DAX, Power Query, and SQL Server data connections; improve model efficiency and dashboard usability
  • Replace manual reporting with scalable, refreshable solutions; investigate data quality issues and resolve root causes
  • Apply reusable design, access-control and testing standards; contribute to Agile delivery, reviews, releases and documentation
  • Lead, coach and manage the team; own data architecture for governed, AI-ready foundations
  • Establish design standards and testing strategy; guide Agile delivery and stakeholder collaboration to improve investment insights
Key requirements
  • Expert, hands-on Power BI experience with advanced DAX, Power Query, semantic modelling and performance optimisation
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server data sources
  • Experience from dashboard delivery to testing, deployment, refresh management and production support
  • Proven people-management experience and ability to develop technical capability
  • Experience designing governed, reusable data foundations and owning data architecture and testing strategy
  • Experience in investment portfolio management or transformation; ability to lead delivery and stay hands-on
