As Technical Architect, you will guide architecture across services and portfolios, influencing decisions with cross-functional partners. You’ll shape guardrails, reference architectures, and assurance proportional to risk for platforms like Power Platform, Azure, and AI-enabled services. You will lead engineering and architecture communities, coaching peers to make evidence-based choices. This role blends technical leadership with stakeholder collaboration to deliver scalable, secure digital capabilities. You will work remotely with travel to client sites and offices, making a meaningful impact on complex, enterprise-scale initiatives.

- Technical architecture across the Application Platforms portfolio and alignment with strategy, EA, and roadmaps
- Own or assure complex, high-risk designs including Power Platform, automation, AI agents, Microsoft 365, Azure, APIs, data services, and bespoke apps
- Define and maintain reference architectures, standards, and reusable patterns with focus on security, data, accessibility, operational and lifecycle risk
- Chair or lead design assurance, document decisions, and assign owners for exceptions, risk, debt, and dependencies
- Advise leaders on architectural options, benefits, costs, constraints, and consequences to drive service decisions
- Shape platform and supplier choices with commercial and service-management colleagues, considering whole-life cost, licensing, exit, portability, and supportability
- Collaborate across organizational boundaries to resolve conflicts, align roadmaps, and manage cross-platform dependencies
- Use evidence from delivery, operations, risk, and technology trends to refine strategy, resilience, and investment priorities
- Coach solution architects and strengthen the architecture community through peer reviews and knowledge sharing
- Substantial experience leading technical architecture for complex, high-risk or organisation-wide digital services and technology portfolios, specifically in Microsoft products
- Ability to set technical direction across multiple teams and balance user need, strategy, security, delivery feasibility, cost and sustainability
- Experience designing and governing cloud-based application ecosystems, including enterprise platforms, APIs, identity, data and integration services
- Ability to communicate architecture clearly to technical and non-technical audiences and build support for high-impact decisions
- Strong understanding of architecture governance, decision records, standards, risk-based assurance, service assessments, and management of exceptions and technical debt
- Commercial awareness including sourcing, licensing, suppliers, contracts, portability and exit strategies
- Experience shaping strategy and roadmaps that connect technical, user, operational and organizational perspectives
- Evidence of coaching architects, developing professional capability and improving practice across teams or communities
