Overview

In this role you lead the Prime Brokerage technology delivery, shaping the platform with a hands-on, platform-focused mindset. You will guide technical direction, own production stability, and mentor agile teams to raise engineering standards. You’ll work closely with business partners to translate complex requirements into durable solutions, driving performance, resiliency and security. The opportunity sits at the heart of Citi’s Equities and Prime Brokerage initiative, delivering measurable client outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Own, design, and build core components of the Prime Brokerage platform in Kotlin/Java
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical direction and maintainable solutions
  • Lead planning and estimation with technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Remain hands-on and contribute to production changes
  • Elevate engineering standards across shift-left testing, resiliency, security, scalability, and observability
  • Provide technical leadership to agile teams and mentor developers
  • Champion quality and continuous improvement in SDLC and DevOps using metrics like DORA
  • Remove friction in development processes to boost productivity
  • Drive adoption of AI tooling where value is delivered in production
  • Ensure end-to-end production stability and remediation of incidents
  • Invest in people and culture, mentoring engineers and contributing to hiring
  • Maintain clear, current project and technical documentation
Key requirements
  • Proven software engineering experience
  • Deep expertise in systems analysis and programming

  • Bachelor's or University degree, or equivalent experience
