Principal AI Engineer specializing in AWS and GenAI will shape contact center technology across Canada, Asia, and the United States. This hybrid role supports office or virtual work based on business needs.

Sun Life seeks an experienced engineer with at least 10 years of engineering experience. You will build large-scale software systems using AI/ML architecture, agentic systems, RAG techniques, Python, Java, and AWS services. The role guides platform innovation and production deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define technical vision for platform AI/ML initiatives
  • Design and manage AWS API infrastructure
  • Develop GenAI solutions for global contact centers
  • Own deployment strategy and CI/CD practices
  • Mentor engineers and establish technical standards

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field
  • Expertise in GenAI, agentic systems, and RAG techniques
  • Deep Python, Java, and AWS architecture experience
  • Advanced DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, and orchestration proficiency
