Principal AI Experience Designer

Shape Autodesk Assistant with conversational design and responsible AI expertise on a platform team serving millions of professionals. Light North American travel occurs two to three times yearly.

As Principal Experience Designer, you will define interaction patterns for Autodesk products integrating AI. You will guide conversational, agentic, and visual experiences across the Design and Make platform. Your work will establish reusable standards for trustworthy AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define conversational, agentic, and visual interaction patterns
• Author the Autodesk Assistant pattern library
• Track quality signals for agentic interactions
• Mentor platform and product designers
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and AI Research leaders

Requirements:

• Eight or more years in UX or product design
• Expertise in human-centered design for complex problems
• Shipped generative AI experiences with measurable impact
• Designed adopted conversational or agentic interaction patterns
• Fluency in Figma and adjacent prototyping tools
