Principal AI Platform Engineer

Define enterprise AI architecture with Vertex AI, MLOps, and cloud infrastructure for Insight Global’s global fashion retail client. Shape secure platforms at scale.

This Principal Platform Engineer role provides strategic leadership across AI platform architecture, governance, scalability, and developer enablement. You will establish technical foundations for developing, deploying, and managing AI solutions. The work connects cloud architecture, platform engineering, AI innovation, and enterprise transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define enterprise AI platform vision, principles, standards, and roadmap
• Architect secure AI platforms, developer environments, tooling, and automation
• Establish governance, monitoring, compliance, and observability controls
• Evaluate AI technologies, vendors, partners, and practical use cases
• Provide technical leadership across engineering, security, data, and product teams

Requirements:

• 10+ years in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, software engineering, or architecture
• Deep expertise in Vertex AI, MLOps, training pipelines, and model serving
• Generative AI experience spanning RAG, guardrails, agents, and MCP integration
• Terraform, infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, CI/CD, and platform templates
• Advanced Python skills and ownership of critical architecture decisions
