Principal AI Systems Engineer

Architect production-grade AI systems at Workday in Vancouver, integrating large language models, distributed platforms, and enterprise APIs for intelligent agents.

As a Principal AI Engineer in Agent Factory, you will lead end-to-end system design, architectural frameworks, and product integration. You will orchestrate agentic workflows, connect foundational models to Workday products, and address latency, cost, reliability, privacy, predictability, and explainability. The team builds production-grade agents for global customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end system design for intelligent agents
• Architect frameworks integrating foundational models into enterprise software
• Design, experiment, and orchestrate complex agentic workflows
• Implement guardrails for privacy, predictability, and explainability
• Resolve latency, cost, and reliability constraints

Requirements:

• 10+ years software engineering experience with distributed systems, cloud, and API expertise
• 2+ years building production-grade LLM or agentic systems
• 3+ years integrating large models into enterprise products
• 2+ years designing complex AI orchestration architectures
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent technical field
