Overview
In this role you will develop advanced PVD deposition technology and oversee junior engineers within the PVD Applications team. You will write technical reports, contribute to IP submissions, and collaborate with field teams to tune processes. There may be project management tasks and international travel as you help meet technology roadmap targets. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role at a leading semiconductor equipment company.

- Develop PVD processes to meet roadmap targets or customer requirements
- Design experiments and analyse results with analytical tools
- Troubleshoot and solve complex problems
- Provide progress updates to management
- Summarise results in reports or presentations
- Plan and execute work safely and timely
- Contribute to project teams for new products and processes
- Research published work relevant to KLA's process development
- Prepare invention disclosures/patent applications
- Draft technical papers for conferences and publications
- Communicate results and ideas to management and colleagues
- Knowledge/experience of thin film deposition techniques, plasma systems & high vacuum technology
- Experience or knowledge of computer simulation methods (preferred)
- Ability to design experiments and analyse data to identify rapid solutions
- Good analytical skills with metrology such as SEM
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Doctorate/Master/Bachelor level degree with related work experience
