In this Principal AWS Architect role, you will lead transformative cloud initiatives for financial services clients, shaping enterprise AWS architectures and modernising legacy estates. You’ll align executive strategy with engineering delivery, steering cross-functional teams and mentoring talent within Capco’s Technology & Engineering Practice. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving cloud-first strategies and measurable business impact. The role offers hands-on design influence, multi-cloud collaboration, and leadership across complex programs.

- Shape and deliver AWS programmes for clients
- Define cloud architecture strategies and practical delivery plans
- Lead multi-disciplinary agile teams and promote delivery excellence
- Engage in pre-sales activities, bid responses, and commercial estimations
- Mentor junior talent and contribute to thought leadership and cloud community
- Proven experience in shaping enterprise-scale AWS solutions and architecture
- Advising senior leadership on cloud strategy, adoption, migration, and modernisation with AWS
- Domain expertise in financial services (e.g., Capital Markets, Retail Banking, Payments, Wealth, Asset Management, or Insurance)
- Leading pre-sales engagements and formal bid responses
- Designing integrations between AWS and on-prem/other clouds via API-led patterns
- Designing distributed, zero-trust architectures using AWS services (EKS, Lambda, EventBridge, SNS/SQS)
- Leading cross-functional agile delivery teams (SAFe, DevOps)
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, DDD, NIST)
