Overview

In this role you lead the data and analytics architecture for Trading & Supply, shaping a scalable, secure, AI-ready data ecosystem. You translate strategy into target architectures and guardrails, guiding cross-domain delivery and enterprise transformation. You partner with business, data, and tech teams to reduce duplication and enable value-driven decisions. You’ll champion data-first design and responsible AI across the enterprise, unlocking scalable, trusted insights.

Responsibilities
  • Provide architecture leadership aligning business strategy with technology investments
  • Shape enterprise architecture direction across multiple domains and ensure coherence, resilience, security, and scalability
  • Translate strategy into target architecture, roadmaps, standards, and guardrails across data, integration, cloud, and security
  • Ensure cross-domain coherence and resolve conflicts between domain strategies and enterprise targets
  • Act as enterprise decision authority for major architectural choices and trade-offs
  • Represent architecture in executive governance and advise CIOs and senior stakeholders
  • Drive adoption of standards, reusable patterns, and enterprise technology services to reduce duplication and debt
  • Lead and develop a multi-layer architecture organisation and capability development
  • Set strategic technology direction including lifecycle, simplification, and reuse priorities
  • Lead data-first architectural transformation, AI-enabled practices, and AI guardrails
  • Embed responsible AI considerations, including data quality, security, privacy, explainability, and regulatory compliance
  • Influence technology strategy and transformation using market, regulatory, and business insight
Key requirements
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in IT, CS, Engineering or related field
  • Extensive IT experience with senior architecture leadership roles
  • Experience in large-scale, multi-domain technology environments
  • Proven success in enterprise-wide architecture transformation and strategic initiatives
  • Knowledge of trading domain; commodity trading knowledge preferred
