As Principal Cloud Software Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of AVEVA’s cloud platform capabilities on Microsoft Azure, guiding architecture and engineering decisions across teams. You will shape secure, resilient cloud services within AVEVA CONNECT Core Services and promote modern cloud practices and AI-assisted development. You’ll work with directors and product teams to align technical direction with business priorities, driving high-impact cloud solutions in a fast-moving environment. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on raising engineering standards and delivering high-quality outcomes.

- Lead the design and delivery of secure, resilient cloud platform capabilities for AVEVA CONNECT Core Services
- Guide architecture and engineering decisions across microservices, REST APIs, data design, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
- Provide technical leadership to development teams, supporting complex problem-solving, design reviews, and delivery quality
- Promote cloud technologies, modern engineering practices, and AI-assisted development tools across AVEVA
- Collaborate with Directors, architects, product teams, and engineering stakeholders to align technical direction with platform and business priorities
- Experience designing and delivering complex enterprise or cloud platform solutions
- Technical leadership experience, including guiding teams, shaping architecture, or influencing engineering direction
- Strong design and coding skills with a track record of high-quality outcomes
- Experience developing microservice or service-oriented architectures and designing REST APIs
- Experience with C#/.NET or multiple programming languages, plus understanding of database design, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms
