Overview

In this role you lead a CS&A engineering team on major capital programmes, guiding FEED and design development to Urenco standards and customer needs. You act as a bridge between site teams and Group stakeholders, ensuring safe, compliant solutions aligned with business goals. You’ll shape design development, support project delivery, and champion continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. This is a strategic, safety‑focused opportunity to influence high‑impact projects within a national security context.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the CS&A engineering team across major capital programmes
  • Develop and deliver FEED packages including Conceptual and Basic Design
  • Ensure designs meet Urenco standards and customer requirements
  • Provide technical guidance throughout design development
  • Support project execution and review detailed design outputs from suppliers/contractors
  • Approve design deviations, concessions, and FAT/SAT activities
  • Maintain design intent across the project lifecycle
  • Mentor engineers and support SQEP status
  • Contribute to engineering processes, standards, and continuous improvement
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and robust design
  • Drive knowledge sharing and innovative engineering solutions
  • Support future business requirements and design assurance improvements
Key requirements
  • Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering
  • Experience leading engineering teams on major plant or infrastructure projects
  • Proven FEED, design development, and project delivery experience in regulated environments
  • Recognised expertise in Civil, Structural & Architectural Engineering
  • Strong understanding of design management and regulatory compliance
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
