Overview

In this role you will design and implement scalable data platforms for clients, guiding cross-functional teams to leverage Google Cloud technologies. You shape data strategy, governance, and modeling to deliver high-performance architectures and production-ready solutions. You’ll work with Architecture, Engineering, and Data Science teams to drive transformation and deliver measurable business impact. This is a hands-on, consulting-focused leadership role that combines technical excellence with stakeholder influence and delivery accountability.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the analysis, design and delivery of data-driven solutions using Google Cloud technologies
  • Serve as expert in data transformation, storage, retrieval, security, and governance
  • Provide architectural direction to engineers to build robust, high-performance data solutions
  • Apply data modeling techniques (3NF, Data Vault, Star Schema, OBTable) and optimize implementation in columnar databases like BigQuery
  • Collaborate with clients to shape data strategy including governance, quality, security, and operational efficiency
  • Develop integrated, production-ready solutions with cloud best practices, scalable ingestion, feature engineering, and end-to-end readiness
  • Utilize partner technologies (BigQuery, Dataflow, Vertex AI, dbt, Snowflake, Fivetran) to build solutions
Key requirements
  • Proven experience designing and building data warehouse/lakehouse solutions with BigQuery, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks
  • Strong data modeling and solution architecture skills focusing on performance and scalability
  • Experience with data governance, quality, security and privacy controls
  • Ownership mindset to drive projects from concept to completion
  • Analytical and technical excellence with a proactive, innovative approach
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for customer-facing work
  • Stakeholder management across multiple business levels
  • Hands-on programming in Python, Java, and SQL for data engineering
