Overview

As Principal DevOps Engineer, you will shape Aberdeen’s cloud and AKS-enabled platforms and lead automated software delivery. You’ll partner with engineers, analysts and stakeholders to implement scalable, secure infrastructure and modern engineering practices. You drive CI/CD, IaC, and automated testing, while promoting AI-assisted development and agile delivery. This role offers strategic influence and a chance to impact investment engineering at scale in a supportive, inclusive culture.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and evolve the DevOps strategy and AKS platforms on Azure
  • Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and automated testing
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure technology solutions
  • Promote automation, cloud-native development, and AI-assisted engineering tools
  • Drive continuous improvement and value delivery through Agile methods
Key requirements
  • Cloud-native solution delivery and DevOps leadership experience
  • Hands-on Git, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and Azure administration
  • Experience with microservices, containerisation, REST API design, development and testing
  • Proficiency in at least one OO language, preferably C#
  • Interest in financial services or fintech and commitment to continuous learning
