Overview
As a Principal DevOps Engineer at Gearset, you will own and evolve our multi-region, multi-tenant infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes to enable scalable, reliable SaaS delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to roll out safe changes and fast releases, while strengthening security and observability. Your decisions will shape the technical roadmap and infrastructure automation to support rapid growth. This role combines autonomy, hands-on engineering, and collaboration to sustain high uptime and a thriving engineering culture.

- Lead initiatives to strengthen security and data protection
- Build and maintain automation for continuous deployment and frequent releases
- Contribute to cross-functional projects with other teams (data, design, marketing, sales)
- Improve observability, alerting, and incident response capabilities
- Support hosted multi-tenant SaaS operations at scale
- Drive improvements through pragmatic iteration and backlog ownership
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS (VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, EKS)
- Production-grade Kubernetes operations and cluster management
- Terraform for infrastructure automation
- CI/CD pipeline design and operation
- Experience supporting a hosted, multi-tenant SaaS at scale
- Comfort with giving/receiving constructive feedback and working in autonomous teams
