In this role you drive digital transformation within UK defence engineering environments, leading digital engineering strategy across high‑profile programmes. You shape information management, BIM and project technologies to support complex delivery. You work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliant, high‑quality digital outputs and best practices. Your leadership and technical expertise enable delivery across the full engineering lifecycle, with a focus on scalable, future‑proof solutions. Responsibilities
  • Lead development, review and implementation of digital engineering workflows and project‑wide digital intent
  • Ensure high‑quality digital deliverables and compliance with standards and client expectations
  • Oversee workload of digital engineers to guarantee timely BIM and information management delivery
  • Conduct BIM/digital assessments and produce reports, notes and risk documentation
  • Contribute to the development of the Babcock Digital strategy and digital ways of working
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to realise BIM, digital and information management strategies
  • Guide best practice across the organisation and oversee project‑level digital activities
  • Engage senior stakeholders and operate at principal level within a regulated environment
  • Support design, construction and commissioning projects with bespoke digital requirements
Key requirements
  • Strong background in digital engineering management, quality and delivery
  • Expertise in BIM, CAD and Information Management with ISO 19650 awareness
  • Experience producing BIM Execution Plans and information delivery plans
  • Ability to develop and manage digital workflows (clash detection, design coordination, asset data reviews)
  • Experience engaging senior stakeholders in regulated environments (nuclear/defence preferred)
  • Security clearance willingness (SC) or eligibility
