Overview

As Electro-Optic Systems Engineer you will lead the integration and testing of EO seeker prototypes, collaborating with multiple disciplines. You will define system and sub-system requirements and contribute to concept development and performance characterisation. The role blends hands-on integration with design input from electronics, software, firmware and mechanical engineering colleagues. This position offers exposure to research and applied engineering within a technology maturation context.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the integration and testing of EO seeker prototypes
  • Specify and develop system and sub-system requirements
  • Characterise performance with test engineers
  • Develop algorithms and analyse data
  • Contribute to concept generation and technology prototyping
  • Coordinate trials and liaise with sub-system experts (electronics, software, firmware, mechanical)
Key requirements
  • Proven experience in Electro Optics system development and integration
  • Engineering or science-based Honours degree or equivalent experience
  • Background in electronics with understanding of passive and active EO systems
  • Interest in systems engineering with mentoring potential
  • Willingness to learn and develop in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Good attitude and willingness to learn
