Principal Engineer

As Principal Engineer in Exponent’s Mechanical Engineering Practice in London, you drive growth and technical leadership in a global specialty consultancy. You will identify new business opportunities, lead strategic client engagements, and mentor staff while delivering expert insights and project oversight. Your role blends technical excellence with business development to expand client impact across disciplines. You will work with cross‑functional teams to solve complex, safety‑critical challenges for leading clients, shaping the practice and its regional footprint.

• Identify and secure new business opportunities through industry and legal contacts
• Contribute to growth of Exponent's mechanical engineering consulting efforts

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
• Significant business development experience with a proven track record
