In this Principal Engineer role, you will provide high-impact technical leadership to guide architecture, DevOps, and cloud initiatives within a market-leading financial services organization. You will influence tech leads and senior management on best practices, helping to deliver robust client-facing and internal software. You will design scalable solutions, champion quality and resiliency, and drive engineering excellence across teams. Responsibilities
  • Influence and guide tech leads and senior management on engineering best practices
  • Lead architecture development, DevOps practices, and cloud-based technology initiatives
  • Drive design excellence for quality, reliability, and resiliency
  • Scope complex tasks and deliver mature, scalable technical designs
  • Provide expert technical leadership and mentoring to the team
Key requirements
  • React (incl. Hooks) and frontend tech (JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, ES6, HTML/CSS)
  • Storybook and UI design experience
  • Backend expertise with C#, .NET, MS SQL Server, RESTful APIs
  • Substantial Azure experience
  • Strong proponent of TDD and high test coverage, SOLID principles
