In this role you will lead the cloud strategy, architect multi-region AWS environments, and advise engineering leadership. You will optimise costs, build internal developer platforms and CI/CD pipelines using IaC tools, and align cloud work with product roadmaps. - Architect complex, multi-region AWS environments aligned with business goals
- Evaluate emerging AWS services and tools to shorten time-to-market
- Guide technical decision-making across engineering squads
- Maintain modular codebases using Terraform/AWS CDK/Pulumi
- Architect internal developer platforms and enterprise-grade CI/CD frameworks
- Implement AWS cost optimisation and resolve performance bottlenecks in microservices, databases, and networks
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior, mid-level and junior engineers
- Participate in on-call rota to maintain service availability
- Extensive experience in AWS cloud infrastructure
- Expert knowledge of AWS ecosystem including complex networking and security configurations
- Strong Infrastructure as Code and configuration management expertise
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, Java, or Node.JS)
- Experience leading large technical projects and cross-team collaboration
- Proven track record designing, deploying and maintaining large-scale distributed systems
