Principal Engineer - CLR

In this role you will steer technical direction for reporting solutions that help clients reconcile accounts, investigate transactions, and manage cash. You will lead architecture and implementation, mentor engineers, and drive cross-functional collaboration to align tech decisions with business goals. You will foster innovation and ensure reliability and governance in complex data delivery, making a measurable impact on client reporting and risk management. This is a senior, enterprise-wide leadership position with a strong focus on delivering trusted financial insights.

• Provide guidance to engineering teams to promote best practices and technical excellence
• Contribute to strategic planning by aligning technical decisions with business goals
• Design and implement complex, scalable, maintainable software solutions for reporting and reconciliation
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to grow capabilities
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and business partners to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Drive innovation by adopting new technologies and industry practices
• Engage with senior stakeholders to influence technical roadmaps and policies

• Hands-on Java expertise in a LeSS or SAFe environment
• Deep knowledge of ISO 20022 reporting standards (camt.052, camt.053, camt.054)
• Experience with SWIFT MT 940, 942, 950 and BAI2 reporting standards
• Experience owning statement production and reconciliation platforms
• Strong Kafka and event-driven architecture experience
• Experience designing webhook and asynchronous client delivery solutions
• Evidence of defining technical reporting strategy and standards
