In this Principal Engineer role, you drive the AI transformation by bridging business needs with technical solutions. You collaborate with technology leaders to reimagine core processes and scale AI capabilities, including AI agents, across Citi. You lead the design and delivery of high-quality software while mentoring teams to sustain excellence. You contribute to strategic architecture decisions and foster innovation to deliver tangible business impact.
Responsibilities- Apply deep engineering expertise across the software development lifecycle while partnering with stakeholders
- Develop solutions within multiple agile delivery teams and contribute to sprint goals
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable code meeting high quality standards
- Collaborate with fellow Principal Engineers to evolve system architecture and design
- Provide guidance on scalable, robust solutions aligned with business needs
- Offer expert engineering support to multiple teams to overcome technical challenges
- Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
- Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends
- Proven software engineering leadership experience with AI coding agents experience (1+ role)
