Overview

As Field CTO you will serve as a strategic technical advisor to C-level clients, translating transformations into scalable architectures. You’ll lead data, cloud, and innovation roadmaps for large accounts, champion Agentic AI and Enterprise Modernization, and shape product direction through customer feedback. You’ll collaborate across Sales, Engineering, and Product to drive revenue and customer value while establishing Celonis as an industry leader in architecture and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Executive advisory to C-suite on aligning strategic goals with Celonis vision
  • Lead strategic architecture & roadmap for data, cloud, and innovation across large accounts
  • Architect first-of-a-kind solutions using emergent technologies like Agentic AI
  • Partner with Sales and Value Engineering to drive revenue and upsell
  • Serve as a feedback loop between Product/Engineering and market to influence offerings
  • Develop customer-facing thought leadership assets and presentations
Key requirements
  • 15 to 20 years of relevant experience
  • Experience as CTO at a consulting firm, Field CTO at a software vendor, or Director/VP of Enterprise Architecture
  • Proven ability to present complex technical visions to C-suite with business value
  • Deep experience in Enterprise Modernization, EA methodologies, and Agentic AI
  • Ability to move from high-level architecture to hands-on demos
  • Strong data architecture, API ecosystems, and cloud-native SaaS knowledge (Salesforce, ServiceNow)
  • ERP/SAP or Oracle knowledge, or domain expertise in regulated industries like Financial Services
  • MSc in Computer Science or equivalent IT field
  • Fluent in English; Spanish/French/German/Italian a plus
  • Certifications in TOGAF/Zachman, AWS/Azure/GCP, ESB/ETL (e.g., Mulesoft, Informatica)
  • Experience across multiple domains and industries
