Principal Generative AI Engineering Lead

Lead generative AI engineering in Montreal’s hybrid environment, combining LLM architecture with production platform delivery and technical leadership. French and English are required.

This Vice-President-level Principal Data and Analytics Engineering position supports Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Securities Group. You will enable divisional GenAI use cases across business enablement, modernization, cyber, and at-scale initiatives. The work includes reusable architectures, AI platforms, data pipelines, governance, and operational controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, lead, and mentor developers while setting engineering standards
• Prioritize GenAI use cases with business and technology teams
• Industrialize solutions from proof of concept to production platforms
• Design architectures using LLMs, agent frameworks, and orchestration tools
• Measure outcomes and communicate value to senior stakeholders

Requirements:

• At least ten years of software development experience
• Proven leadership in architecture, standards, mentoring, and delivery
• Hands-on experience delivering production systems
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and appropriate controls
• Understanding of AI governance and regulatory expectations
