As a Principal ICT Consultant at Arup, you lead ICT data centre and cabling projects and serve as a subject-matter expert. - Capture and interpret client ICT infrastructure requirements
- Design ICT infrastructure from concept to construction
- Oversee and supervise junior staff on projects
- Quality assurance with adherence to management systems
- On-site monitoring and witness testing of ICT installations
- Contribute to scoping works and fee proposals for ICT projects
- Develop junior team members and promote ICT standards across multidisciplinary teams
- Travel for projects in the UK and abroad
- Recognised industry accreditation such as RCDD, DCDC, CNIDP or CDCDP
- Experience in data centre projects and ICT facilities/cabling infrastructure
- Senior consultant experience or equivalent in pre‑sales technical design support or owner/operator environments
- Strong client liaison and SME capabilities on projects
- Willingness to travel; visa/work status in the UK
- Ability to write clear technical and non‑technical reports and create diagrams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Optical fibre cabling systems including FTTx and PON
- Copper structured cabling; outside plant systems; equipment rooms and pathways
- ICT cabling strategies, space planning, design, delivery and assurance
