Principal IT Pillar Specialist

In this role you will lead and implement AVEVA E3D solutions within multidisciplinary teams to support engineering data management and project execution. You will apply deep IT Pillar expertise to solve complex technical issues and standardize best practices. You will manage E3D projects, customize workflows, and train users, contributing to safe, efficient design and fabrication processes. This is a hands-on, independent position with opportunities to influence tool integration and data governance in a large energy-related organization. You will work to ensure high-quality deliverables and alignment with project goals and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Configure and maintain AVEVA E3D projects, databases, access control, and user management
- Administer AVEVA E3D globally, including satellite databases and data extracts
- Define project procedures and company standards for E3D usage
- Demonstrate knowledge of AVEVA E3D, Paragon, PML, CATS, SPECS; develop macros and automation using PML/.NET
- Manage integration workflows for 3D model export/import with fabrication/engineering tools
- Create discipline catalogues based on vendor data and project requirements
- Configure clash management and run clash reports
- Provide end-user training and collaborate with discipline leads
- Perform model audits, data verification, and compliance checks
- Generate reports from E3D models and configure ISODRAFT for isometrics
- Configure and extract deliverables like MTOs, piping isometrics, weight reports; set up drawing styles and rules for 2D drawings
- Maintain NAVISWORKS model review files accessible to all disciplines
- Strong AVEVA E3D administration skills with project setup and customization
- Advanced knowledge of PML (including PML-2) and .NET
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in E3D Administration
- Understanding of engineering principles, design processes, and data management for project execution
- Excellent communication for cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work independently
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for engineering data management
- Hands-on experience with Aveva Engineering and Aveva Integration Services is a plus
- Knowledge of Aveva Unified Engineering and Spectrum is desirable
