Overview
As an IT Consultant you will lead technically excellent projects within a global engineering team, mentoring engineers and coordinating with stakeholders. You’ll drive design delivery, QA, and client-facing activities across RIBA-staged workflows. The role blends technical leadership with project management and business development, leveraging benchmarks and building technology insights. You’ll partner with cross-disciplinary teams to shape digital, smart-building solutions for high-profile clients. This is an opportunity to influence design journeys and deliver measurable impact across complex environments.
Responsibilities- lead and manage engineers to deliver designs and meet client expectations
- stakeholder engagement across multiple levels
- monitor project fee and programme to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery
- participate in QA processes and establish deliverables
- mentor less experienced engineers and support work-winning activities
- conduct technical reviews and lead project meetings
- support project teams in detailed design development and site surveys
- apply knowledge of IT design principles and benchmarking to building projects
- Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status
- degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Sciences (MEng, BEng or BSc)
- experience in IT consultancy and/or IT design within engineering
- ability to manage small to medium projects and coordinate engineers
- experience producing schematics, specifications, reports, and conducting site inspections
- knowledge of IT design principles and delivery, with familiarity with building benchmarking (WiredScore is a plus)
- ownership of tasks and deliverables
