Overview
As Principal PH Intelligence Analyst you will lead Newham’s Public Health intelligence function, shaping data-driven insights to inform health and care decisions. You will steer a team of analysts, harness linked health and care data, and apply epidemiology and evidence-based methods to reduce inequalities. Your work supports Public Health, the Council, and the Integrated Care System, contributing to safer, healthier communities. This role offers high-impact work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a clear focus on equity and system-wide improvement.
Responsibilities- Lead the intelligence function and oversee analytics work to generate actionable public health insights.
- Manage and mentor a team of analysts to assess need, performance, and health trends.
- Analyse complex data sets to identify health inequalities and inform strategic decisions.
- Apply epidemiology and evidence-based approaches to improve health outcomes.
- Coordinate and provide leadership for Joint Strategic Needs Assessments (JSNAs) processes.
- Collaborate with Public Health, the Council, and Integrated Care System to support data-driven planning.
- Senior-level experience in health analytics or data science with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of epidemiology and evidence-based public health approaches.
- Ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and translate insights for strategic decisions.
