Principal Physical Security Design Authority

Lead physical security design authority for EdgeConneX data centers, shaping access control and surveillance standards across a global portfolio.

As Principal, Security Design, you will own the Physical Security Baseline, design standards, templates, and exception process. You will guide new builds, expansions, and customer-specific projects for major cloud and enterprise customers. The work spans design approval, integrator submittals, compliance, and commissioning traceability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own physical security baselines, standards, specifications, and templates
• Approve project designs, layouts, and above-baseline requirements
• Lead complex customer-specific physical security designs
• Manage risk-based exceptions, deviations, and record-keeping
• Report compliance, conformance, and exception trends to leadership

Requirements:

• Minimum eight years in physical security design or engineering
• At least four years setting standards or leading designs
• Expertise in critical infrastructure physical security systems
• Enterprise access control and video management platform knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
