Shape Masabi’s platform and data architecture remotely from Canada’s East Coast timezone, using AWS and distributed systems expertise.

As a Principal Engineer on Masabi’s Architecture team, you will guide technical direction across engineering. You will design scalable services, strengthen data strategy, and contribute hands-on through code, reviews, and delivery. The work supports Masabi’s Justride platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define platform blueprints, standards, and architectural best practices
  • Shape data architecture, storage, and platform data usage
  • Design scalable, robust, cost-efficient services
  • Guide complex decisions across engineering teams
  • Document architecture and support technical roadmap planning

Requirements:

  • Principal or Staff-level experience across multiple teams
  • Distributed systems and microservices architecture experience
  • Strong AWS and modern infrastructure practices experience
  • Proven data architecture experience with large data stores
  • Strong REST API design experience in multi-service environments
