Principal Platform Engineer

Join LSEG as a Senior Data Engineer to design and scale our data infrastructure and analytics platforms. You will enable data-driven decision making by building robust pipelines, storage solutions, and ETL processes across cross-functional teams. • Design, develop, and optimize large-scale data pipelines, architectures, and integration workflows
• Build scalable data storage solutions (data lakes, warehouses, cloud-based)
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to translate data needs into solutions
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for diverse data sources
• Perform advanced data analysis, modeling, and visualization to reveal patterns
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and security across systems
• Work with distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Hive, Hadoop) to process big data
• Stay current with trends in big data, analytics, and cloud platforms

• 10+ years of experience in big data and analytics
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong programming in Python, Java, or Scala
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL, and data modeling
• Proficiency with big data tools (Spark, Kafka, Presto) and cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools (Power BI)
• Solid ETL experience with databases/warehouses (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
