Build TD’s Global Transaction Banking platform in Toronto through hands-on Java engineering, Kubernetes deployment, and API architecture leadership.

As Principal Engineer, you will deliver foundational services spanning entitlements, products, reference data, and cross-jurisdictional experiences. The role combines platform engineering, architecture, and technical product strategy across cloud-native systems. You will define end-to-end solutions connecting internal platforms, partner networks, and third-party services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the GTB Foundational Services Platform vision
  • Design RESTful and GraphQL API contracts and versioning strategies
  • Own connectivity architecture across platforms and partner networks
  • Deploy application infrastructure through Azure Kubernetes Services
  • Deliver secure, resilient, scalable data products and services

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ years in architecture or technical leadership
  • Expertise in platform engineering and Kubernetes deployment
  • Strong Java, API design, and distributed systems knowledge
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native delivery
