- Design, develop, and operate large-scale database platform services for OCI workloads
- Build highly available, scalable, and resilient distributed systems across global cloud regions
- Develop automation for provisioning, lifecycle management, monitoring, patching, upgrades, backup, recovery, and fleet operations
- Partner with database architects, SREs, and OCI service teams to meet stringent availability, performance, and durability targets
- Drive improvements in reliability, scalability, observability, security, and operational efficiency for Tier-0 cloud services
- Troubleshoot complex production issues spanning database internals, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and fleet operations
- Design and implement software solutions to optimize database performance, capacity utilization, and operational excellence
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering initiatives for cloud-scale database platforms
- Leverage DBA expertise to influence software design, automation strategies, and operational best practices
- Contribute to evolution of OCI foundational data services that support core cloud offerings
- Eliminate manual tasks by building self-service workflows for provisioning, patching, upgrades, backup validation, failover testing, and decommissioning
- Develop "automate-first" solutions to reduce toil and improve reliability
- Build intelligent remediation systems that detect and resolve common database and infrastructure issues
