Overview

In this Principal Product Consultant role, you lead major engagements from concept to delivery and shape product strategies and business cases. You bring deep experience in Agile transformation and user-centred product delivery, while coaching senior staff and guiding multi-disciplinary teams. You’ll drive stakeholder management, ensure delivery within constraints, and translate business needs into actionable requirements. This position offers the chance to shape digital transformation initiatives and work closely with cross-functional partners to deliver impactful outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead engagements from initiation to completion and assure delivery
  • Shape product strategies and business cases for major initiatives
  • Coach and develop senior staff and manage performance
  • Facilitate Agile transformation and delivery in a user-centred context
  • Plan and run consulting engagements with diverse stakeholders
  • Translate business requirements into cost-effective functional requirements
  • Communicate effectively with C-level stakeholders and influence decisions
  • Maintain commercial awareness and deliver within project constraints
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams in fast-changing environments
  • Drive focused outcomes from large stakeholder gatherings as an expert facilitator
Key requirements
  • Extensive vertical knowledge of Product Management with strong UX, Agile and Programme Assurance experience
  • Experience in at least two major business verticals (e.g. Telco, Financial Services, Retail)
  • Experience in at least two business application environments (e.g. CRM, eCommerce)
  • Strong C-Level stakeholder communication and client coaching/mentoring
  • Broad business and technology understanding with awareness of industry trends
  • Proven delivery experience as part of an agile team
  • Line management or coaching experience
  • Excellent facilitation and ability to drive outcomes from diverse groups
  • Ability to manage engagements from initiation through completion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and translating requirements into functional specs
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Ability to work flexibly under tight deadlines in uncertain environments
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-management skills
  • Experience mentoring and developing team members
  • Excellent commercial awareness and ability to work within project constraints
