Overview

In this role you will help build and extend data pipelines and event streaming for the largest equities exchange in Europe, plus trade reporting platforms. You’ll lead cross-system projects and mentor developers while maintaining high-quality, testable Python code. You will collaborate with business and sales to shape new products and features, and participate in R&D to adopt promising technologies. This is a hands-on leadership role in a tight-knit team driving mission-critical market infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business development and sales to shape new products and features
  • Design and build reliable, testable Python systems for trading operations
  • Lead complex projects and coordinate across Europe and the United States
  • Mentor other developers and lead debugging of challenging engineering problems
  • Participate in R&D to identify and implement new technologies
  • Provide production support and contribute to incident reviews and follow-up actions
Key requirements
  • Expert Python knowledge
  • Commitment to writing testable, maintainable code
  • Proficiency with advanced SQL techniques
  • Deep Linux knowledge
  • Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Experience with TDD/BDD or other testing methodologies (highly preferred)
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Snowflake (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Django, Flask or FastAPI (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Apache Kafka (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Apache Airflow (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Java (preferred)
  • Experience in one or more relevant financial areas (preferred)
