Principal Software Engineer

Overview
As a highly experienced software engineer, you will help shape Workload Identity to securely connect services across networks, cloud, and Kubernetes. You’ll work with security, networking and cloud domains to prototype and ship production-grade software, leading a small team and collaborating with stakeholders. This role offers growth as the product evolves and you guide technical direction. You’ll impact how services communicate securely at enterprise scale, in a mission-driven, inclusive culture with strong execution and collaboration.
Responsibilities- Design and develop software for Workload Identity across prototype to production, including client and server components
- Lead and mentor a close-knit team and collaborate with teammates
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to discuss ideas, priorities and options from a technical standpoint
- Act as the team’s technical lead, organizing work and guiding implementation
- Strong software development background including design, architecture, implementation, and testing
- Knowledge of software development in Golang
- Advanced knowledge/experience in networking, security, cloud, Kubernetes, encryption, PKI, JWT, SPIFFE
- Experience solving problems at enterprise scale with performance and quality standards
- Experience leading a software development team and mentoring others
- Experience in product development and collaboration with product managers and field teams
