As a Principal Engineer at Epicor Labs, you will shape enterprise-ready AI capabilities inside Epicor's ERP suite. You’ll lead hands-on design and delivery, setting production-quality standards and providing architectural judgement to move AI prototypes into trusted products. You’ll work across cloud services, APIs, and data layers, collaborating with data scientists and engineers to deliver reliable, secure, multi-tenant solutions. This is a high-impact, technically autonomous role in a small, senior team focused on real customer impact.

- Design and deliver next-gen AI capabilities across Epicor's ERP portfolio
- Develop PoCs and MVPs in AI transformation projects, evolving successful concepts into production-grade services
- Design and build cloud platform services, APIs, and data layers, integrating with ERP products
- Ensure production readiness: reliability, observability, security, multi-tenancy, safe failure behavior
- Integrate LLMs and agentic patterns with guardrails, auditability, and probabilistic AI components
- Lead architectural reviews and mentor engineers to elevate standards and automation
- Principal-level depth in C#/.NET and/or Python with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and a track record of shipping production services
- Production frontend experience in TypeScript/JavaScript for secure, accessible enterprise interfaces
- Experience designing and integrating enterprise information systems with clear data flows and operational impact
- Ability to collaborate with data scientists to turn data and models into usable product capabilities
- Production ownership experience with resilience, partial failure handling, and incident-aware design
- Distributed-systems fluency: service boundaries, transactional thinking, multi-tenant design, API design and versioning
- Strong architectural communication to explain and defend design decisions across teams
