Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new software features and capabilities for defence systems
  • Collaborate within a community of senior engineers to improve, innovate, and deliver market-leading products
  • Contribute across the software lifecycle from design through integration and testing
  • Mentor and coach engineers to uplift software engineering capabilities
  • Work with cross-disciplinary teams (systems, hardware, firmware) to ensure coherent integration

Key requirements
  • Several years of C/C++ software engineering in aerospace, defence, or safety-critical domains
  • Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, UDP, and socket programming
  • RTOS concepts (multi-threading, IPC)
  • DDS Middleware
  • Experience with Visual Studio, CMake, Git, and Ubuntu Linux
  • Embedded SoC platforms (e.g., Xilinx, Texas Instruments) and embedded Linux
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting on embedded platforms
  • Familiarity with iterative development lifecycles and related tools (Jira/DevOps)
  • Knowledge of development to design and coding standards
