Principal Solutions Architect, EMEA

In this senior role, you drive end-to-end technical strategy for high-impact, multi-service engagements with strategic customers in the EMEA Financial Services & Insurance sector. You collaborate with account teams to craft customised architectures that span Equinix data centers, interconnection, digital services and partner ecosystems. You act as a trusted advisor to CIO/CTO and senior leaders, aligning infrastructure choices with long-term technology roadmaps and transformation programs. You contribute to bookings by leading technical leadership across global opportunities.

• Own end-to-end technical strategy for complex strategic customers and opportunities
• Lead discovery, qualification, architecture development and technical win strategy
• Create global, customised architectures integrating Equinix capabilities, customer environments and partner ecosystems
• Align solutions with customers' long-term technology strategies and multi-year transformation journeys
• Lead multi-service, multi-region engagements with diverse stakeholders
• Deliver architecture, design recommendations and technical documentation
• Position the value of Platform Equinix across data center, interconnection, digital and managed services
• Articulate strategic value of Equinix Fabric, physical interconnection and ecosystem connectivity
• Develop architectures addressing networking, hybrid and multicloud, data adjacency and modernization use cases
• Translate tech capabilities into customer and business outcomes
• Leverage partner and industry ecosystems to extend solutions
• Act as a trusted advisor to CIO/CTO and senior leaders
• Influence architecture decisions and roadmaps with credibility
• Lead architecture workshops and executive discussions
• Provide objective advice on options, risks and trade-offs
• Help connect immediate decisions with longer-term objectives
• Lead cross-functional and global technical teams for strategic opportunities
• Lead tiger teams spanning products, regions or domains
• Orchestrate distributed teams around common architecture and strategy
• Provide leadership where requirements are ambiguous
• Mentor Solutions Engineers and Architects and contribute to best practices

• 10+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Solutions Engineering, technical presales or enterprise infrastructure architecture
• Experience leading complex, strategically important enterprise customer engagements
• Strong technical background in data center infrastructure, networking, interconnection and hybrid/multicloud architecture
• Experience developing architectures spanning multiple technology domains and partners
• Proven ability to lead regional or global technical engagements and distributed teams
• Experience influencing senior technical and executive stakeholders
• Strong understanding of complex solution selling and its link to commercial outcomes
• Financial Services & Insurance industry experience is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Equinix portfolio and global platform is advantageous
