Overview

As a Senior Architect in the Operational Intelligence Team, you will mature and standardize the monitoring strategy for critical banking applications. You’ll shape end-to-end observability solutions and align monitoring with business processes and production needs. Working across Business, Application Development, Production Support, and Monitoring Tooling, you’ll drive adoption of consistent monitoring capabilities at scale. You’ll lead with technical expertise to improve visibility, reliability, and performance in a global, multi-team environment. This role offers impact through guiding strategy and hands-on implementation in a large, complex system landscape.

Responsibilities
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for monitoring tools within the global monitoring strategy
  • Configure and enhance monitoring for applications across Cloud and container-based environments
  • Deliver demos, overviews, and training sessions with supporting materials
  • Collaborate with APS teams on deployments planning and scheduling
  • Partner with APS and other teams to optimise monitoring configurations, events, and dashboards
  • Produce reporting on tool adoption, usage, and KPIs
  • Contribute to global discussions on monitoring strategy evolution, sharing insights and best practices
Key requirements
  • Advanced Unix/Linux administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and scripting
  • Strong Git and source control management, including CI/CD integration
  • Proven infrastructure automation experience with Ansible in large enterprises
  • Splunk administration in production environments with large-scale deployments
  • Cribl administration with distributed deployments and edge nodes
  • Experience with data routing, pipeline optimization, and observability platforms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Adaptable and able to work across global teams
  • Ability to align technical solutions with business and operational objectives
  • Unix/Linux systems administration
  • Git and CI/CD integration
  • Ansible automation
