Principal System Engineer

In this role you shape Royal Navy capability by guiding integration of emerging technologies, autonomous systems, and complex networks. You will provide technical leadership across Hybrid Navy initiatives and work with MOD, Royal Navy, and international stakeholders. You’ll drive System of Systems concepts from concept to delivery and lead bid and solution development efforts. The position offers impact across multidisciplinary teams, risk management, and mentoring, in a mission-driven environment. • Providing technical leadership across complex systems engineering programmes
• Developing and maturing Hybrid Navy concepts and System of Systems architectures
• Engaging directly with MOD, Royal Navy and international stakeholders

• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and technical specialists

• Significant Systems Engineering experience within Defence or Maritime environments
• Experience leading complex System of Systems integration activities
• Strong understanding of maritime operations, defence programmes or combat systems
• Experience engaging with senior customers and stakeholders
• Knowledge of capability development, acquisition or procurement environments
• Experience providing technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams
