In this role you will help shape cutting-edge defence systems for fast-jet programmes. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to translate requirements into deliverable system solutions for Tempest and GCAP, balancing technical feasibility with real-world constraints. You will engage with stakeholders, lead trade-off studies, and mature system models and verification strategies. This is an impact-driven, office-and-lab–based opportunity with mentoring responsibilities and exposure to high-profile national security projects.

- Develop requirements and test plans for complex systems
- Control parts, documentation, and change management across the lifecycle
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams on system and sub-system development for Tempest and GCAP
- Engage with suppliers, integrators and end users across the UK
- Lead technical activities and initiatives; mentor engineers; create reports and proposals; share good practices
- Science-based Honours degree or equivalent experience
- Experience or interest in electronic warfare domain knowledge
- Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle including problem definition, requirements engineering (IBM DOORS), systems architecture, MBSE, verification and validation
