Overview

In this role you will support the Rooflab Integration Lead to progress the Captor-E ECRS Mk0 radar program through integration, testing and verification in a lab environment. You will engage across disciplines, handle hands-on testing, data analysis and problem solving, and contribute to knowledge sharing and mentoring. The position blends development with qualification activities, and may involve travel and off-site trials. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role within a safety-conscious, security-cleared environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support integration of new functionality into the CAPTOR-E ECRS Mk0 radar system
  • Learn existing systems and address challenges of introducing new technologies
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across disciplines
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices
  • Mentor and develop junior team members
  • Occasional travel within UK/Europe to support programme
  • Participate in hands-on integration, testing and formal testing procedures
  • Maintain radar system and test equipment in lab environment
  • Work with engineers from diverse backgrounds to resolve complex problems
  • Support off-site ground and/or flight trials as needed
Key requirements
  • Experience in the Systems Engineering lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Radar RF electronic technology and operational concepts
  • Familiarity with test & measurement equipment (Bus Analysers, Spectrum Analysers, RF Power Meters, Vector Network Analysers, Oscilloscopes)
  • Previous Captor Radar experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Manual handling of radar/test equipment
  • Experience with requirements management (DOORS) through to acceptance testing
  • Data analysis experience
  • Test card writing experience
  • Matlab for modelling and data analysis (desirable)
  • Python programming (desirable)
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Configuration management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and formal presentation ability
  • Time management across multiple activities
  • UK SC clearance with potential DV clearance depending on business needs
