Overview

In this role you apply systems engineering to develop and integrate capabilities for defence aircraft projects. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to translate concepts into implementable solutions, manage documentation and testing, and engage with suppliers and users across the UK. The position blends office and lab work, with opportunities to lead technical activities, mentor colleagues, and present to customers. Your work supports mission-focused engineering at scale within a security-conscious environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop Integration and Test Plans
  • Control parts and documentation including change management
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams on system and sub-system development
  • Coordinate with suppliers, integrators, and users across the UK
  • Integrate new functionality into existing systems
  • Develop capabilities within hardware constraints
  • Perform root-cause analysis of anomalies
  • Design and conduct testing and trials
  • Lead technical activities and initiatives
  • Mentor and coach engineers
  • Create and deliver reports, presentations, and proposals to customers and industry partners
  • Share knowledge and promote good practice
Key requirements
  • Science-based Honours degree or equivalent experience
  • Interest or experience in electronic warfare domain knowledge
  • Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle (problem definition, requirements engineering incl. IBM DOORS, systems architecture, integration, test & evaluation, verification & validation)
  • Five years UK residency and UK passport
  • Security clearance process including BPSS and NSV/SC/DV awareness
